Laura Linney's performance of weak but strong characters has made her one of the top American actors. In the summer, while working at the company of her father, Laura Linney became fascinated by theatre. Then in her time at Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. After graduating at Brown University she made making her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. In the space of two years from the time, her debut film was released and the next year her TV debut. Since then, she's been in numerous films as well as stage and television productions. She has won many awards throughout her career. They include the four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. But despite the many accolades, her love for theatre remains, and she performs onscreen and onstage.
